Taking a Break

Seeing the stars in the sky remind me how awesome it is here, you can never see them this clearly in cities and it's never this quiet.
Something tells me it won't be quiet like this for long, I've got a lot ahead of me and probably still a lot to learn, but even so, never hurts to take some time to just lay here and appreciate the smaller things in life.

Me and Chairman Kagemaru have been talking as we've both been recovering off and on... and... Despite losing the ability to see the future...

We're investigating the combination of events on this island that have happened in the last four years.

Chairman Kagemaru's research team has found that there is some sort of power trying to build on this island, different from the Sangenma, from the Light of Destruction, or Uebel.

It's so dangerous it has the power of the Epicenter of an Earthquake, so to speak. A natural disaster.

It's not confirmed or anything, but we and several other major players in the Dueling World, have come to a hypothesis. That the Chairman's attempt to revive the 3 Demons of Legend, my involvement with the Light of Destruction, and your Affair with Uebel...

It's causing a pressure cooker of dimensions to build on the island, and something new will be born with this island as the heart of the next disaster.

All those events I was involved in...Uebel...
...heh, I'll be honest, during everything with Uebel and even a bit afterwards, I honestly did think I should leave the island, now I'm starting to wish I had, I cause too much trouble for everyone here.

This island is the epicenter of the ultimate battleground of dimensions. A war is stirring. And whatever this year that's happened so far was just the prelude to the Main Act...

Perhaps... this war is coming... because we used, abused, and mistreated Duel Monsters.

I do hate to say it... but... I think you should stay, Yuuki Juudai. You want to leave to protect your friends... but... Even leaving to protect them won't end the disaster that will come. It isn't coming for you. It is coming because things have happened, and this is the finale of it all.

Me... You... Kagemaru... Johan Andersen... We've all been touched by things... but we can't hide from them. We can't live in fear. I suppose it's cruel to put the weight of the world on a barely adult youth's back... but...

You're something Special Juudai... You've experienced things we can only dream...

You're right, I can't hide from this and... I can't leave, if this is just going to happen anyway I wouldn't be leaving to protect those I care about like I hoped I would, I'd be leaving everyone in a mess I unknowingly helped to create...I can't do that to everyone here...my friends...
...I guess in the end, all I can do is do what I can to stop this disaster from happening, fight what needs to be fought and help protect the others here and all the people important to me. If I really am the only one who can end this then...that's how it'll be. No matter what happens to me, as long as the island and the people here are safe in the end...
...all part of being a hero after all...

Thanks, I hope I can at least get a decent passing grade on Chronos-Sensei's exam tomorrow, even after learning all this...I was planning to do studying tonight but...I think sleeping off this headache is more important right now .__.
