I'm really excited about the idea of me, Hawkeye and Alex being a Pro-League dueling team! Instead of us just being three people managed by the same person, we'll be an actual team working together towards the same goal!!

We didn't know what to name our team last night, and I was up most of the night trying to think of ideas, though talking with Alex today, we both liked one I mentioned!
Team Ryuuoumaru!
Hawkeye, Midori-san, do you guys like the name? Some people here may recognize it! I think it'd be kinda awesome to carry on what Ryuuji aimed his group to stand for, which is showing that y'know, you can still be in the Pro-League and have tons of fun dueling!
Haha, hopefully Ryuuji won't mind us borrowing the name if we pick that one!

I have no objections about the name. In fact, I remember Kouyou saying something about a group named Ryuuoumaru that you were part of when he first decided to become a manager. I think Ryuuji would be happy you carried the idea on for him.

Haha! Yeah, I think it would be good to carry on the message that you can still have lots of awesome fun no matter who you're dueling and that you don't have to turn to more corrupted areas of the pros to be given a chance.

I think it's a good message to bring across, as long as you remember that there will always be a serious undertone, since this is professional dueling, your career depends on your performance... but it's always good to have fun and enjoy it. I know that's something that's important to you.

I like the idea of putting focus on being a team that gets to where they are simply via their own strength and talents in dueling. A lot of other managers focus on gimmicks they can exploit for entertainment factors, which is understandable as it's what people usually like to see... but it's something I promised myself I would never do to the duelists under my management. I don't want cheesy gimmicks over-shadowing the fact that all three of you can get far simply on your talent as duelists alone.
It means we have to work harder to be noticed, but getting there on pure talent will be a great feeling.

Heh, yeah, I've seen a lot of people have to go through a lot of crap due to their managers. Isabel kept getting pitted against criminals and such and in the end she just had enough of it.

Underground dueling is an area I've seen a few friends of mine fall into in the past. There was some guy who came to the school once as a manager, but he was trying to get people to join underground dueling. Those were the sort of people Ryuuji and I really wanted to stop and one of the reasons Ryuuoumaru's goal existed. They either make people believe that's their only option and that's what they have to do to be strong enough for the pros.

You have to wonder how many former criminals who maybe wanted to make a new start, had the fact they had a criminal record be turned into a gimmick and made to believe that's the only way they'd succeed with such a thing...

Underground dueling is definitely an area I'm completely against as it's a dangerous practise, I haven't heard much about it on the dueling grapevine lately though.

I threatened to stop and expose the guy but he kept spouting legal crap at me. Urgh...
Haha, this turned into such a serious discussion!
