Private to Team Spirit

I'm sure by now you've all seen the bracket of the next round of the tournament. Thing is, there's something off about it. Seems like some people have noticed, though most haven't, but it's vital that you all know what's going on with Team New World, especially since there's a chance we may end up dueling against them.

There was a team in the tournament that appears to of been completely erased, meaning, there's no news coverage or anything on Team Rearview. Instead, a team named Team New World have appeared in the bracket and they weren't in the tournament originally, no matter what the news coverage on them says now or what people remember. I think they've changed something to get themselves into the tournament.

Team New World are the ones behind the Ghost attacks on the city and the ones who wield the Machine Emperors. They're aiming to completely erase the city, apparently in an effort to stop some catastrophe caused by the Momentum in the future. I don't know if what they told me was true or not, but even if it is, there must be a way to avoid what may happen with the Momentum without erasing the city and everyone in it.
They need to be stopped.

Watchoo talkin' 'bout Yuki?

Exactly what I mentioned here. Team New World were never in the tournament to begin with and they'll completely erase the city if they're not stopped.

Urgh... what part aren't you understanding?

[identity profile] mechanikaiser.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 09:57 am (UTC)(link)
It ain't so much not understanding as thinking you've gone a little crazier than usual.

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Just... trust me on this one.
I guess you don't need to believe me about them never being in the tournament originally if you don't want to, but you DO need to know how dangerous they are.

[identity profile] mechanikaiser.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Are we talking "Scary-good dueling" dangerous or "Shiv you before the event" dangerous?

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
As in, "They've tried to kill people and are trying to erase the entire city" dangerous.

[identity profile] mechanikaiser.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god damn it.

Is this another one your bullshit supervillain foes hellbent on taking over and/or destroying the world?

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, sort of. It seems like they believe... or know... the Momentum is going to cause some kind of catastrophe in the future and they think the only way to stop it is to erase this city.
If it's true and the Momentum really might cause something like that, then there has to be way to avoid it without them resorting to erasing this entire city and whoever is in it!

[identity profile] mechanikaiser.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm blaming you for this. This is your fault somehow.

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Urgh, you can blame me all you want as long as you understand what's going on now!

[identity profile] mechanikaiser.livejournal.com 2012-02-23 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright, well what do you expect me to do in this situation?

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2012-02-24 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Do what you always do, and aim to win if we end up matched against them. You and Alex need to take down what you can and I'll take care of the rest, I have a trump card which should be useful against them.

You just need to be careful.

Synchros are completely useless against their Machine Emperors. Everything else is fine more or less, but they'll be well prepared against most things we throw at them.
Also, they're able to make damage real in duels, which is one of the major factors in why they're so dangerous.

I'm just making sure you, and Alex, have all the information we've gathered on them.

I'm sorry you and Alex are being dragged into this, but I have faith that our team can bring these guys down.

If their deck-building is any indication, this'll be a cakewalk.

....sh-should I take my synchros out of my deck?

[identity profile] i-like-red.livejournal.com 2012-02-25 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
If we end up matched against them, then yes. Might be best to build a separate deck for specifically dueling them. Their monsters are completely anti-Synchro. Fusions, Tributes, Xyz ect. have a chance to work, but they may have other things in their decks to combat them. They've shown great ability to adapt to whatever's thrown at them.

If you have any strong monsters that can attack more than once in a turn, or something similar, that may help. The Machine Emperors are made up of several different parts you have to target.
