Got a little bit more info on this blonde woman, as I have suspicion she's not only giving out those rank-up spells, but making those belts too. Apparently she wears some sort of futuristic Gothic Lolita type clothing. If any of you recognize someone of that description, let me know.
I managed to get the cartridge from the belt of that hero lizard guy. The cartridge looks just like the lizard did. Is there anyone who might be able to analyse this thing for me? Maybe find out what it's made?

Other than that, I also dealt with these weird creatures who were incredibly strong. I stood up against one and even with two monsters I was barely making much of an impact! Then all of a sudden there was this loud screeching sound and this weird ghost-like creature with fingers similar to claws showed up and then vanished with the other creature. I then saw it happen again moments later.
I have a report that the same day, someone wearing black armor was doing weird chanting in the park, so that maybe connected.

These kinda came up at a bad time, since I'm heading to a pro tournament being held in Hong Kong on Thursday for the whole weekend, but I'll brief everyone else at the Spirit Foundation about all this so they can keep an eye on things while I'm gone.

Come to think of it, those creatures you described, the ghost-like ones, they sound a little familiar... I swear I saw something similar in the libarary at the academy once... a ghost-like figure that screeched... but that was a long time ago... a year if not more.

Actually, I have something I want to entrust to you this weekend. An elderly lady from out-of-town called me this morning about a spirit that's gotten into her house. Apparently it's been messing with the electrics and such. I said I'd have someone see to it this weekend. It sounds like it's just a little mischievous lost spirit, so you should be fine handling it on your own. If you feel comfortable with it, that is.

The lady said that whoever I send is welcome to stay in her spare room while they're dealing with the spirit, if it takes longer than a day. Plus she lives near a beach, so at least the scenery will be nice!

I have noticed the recent problem you have been concerning yourself with. Is it true that people have been using those... Chaos XYZ cards? I thought only those Number monsters could do that...

It is odd though that there are apparently... belts, that are capable of transforming one to look like anything of the sort. Shian had mentioned to try to keep an eye out for them... ... which is somewhat odd to me, that he would care.

I thought it was something only the Numbers could do to, though these latest Chaos XYZ cards needed a "Rank-Up" spell card to be used on them, where the Numbers didn't.
I just don't like any of this one bit. Someone, somewhere, is messing about with something they shouldn't, making these rank-up spells and these belts, then giving them out to people...

Ah, yeah, I was invited to take part in a pro tournament in Hong Kong. Apparently it's a pretty big one over there and it's been a while since I took part in an international tournament, so I'm quite excited!

So it is an outside influence. I suppose while the Numbers have a natural power and strength to them to have them considered as... Dangerous, anything outside of that needs a power source. That is what those spell cards would be.

What is the purpose, however? Has there been any trend to the recent problems?

... and it is for the card game? I am still a little baffled as to the extreme significance and exposure of it. I had only just begun to accept it's importance in Japan, considering that the 12 Dimensions has a high connection to it.

I can't really see any trend right now. The two people with the belts were just regular people, the girl who had the rank-up card was a jaded duelist who wanted to be noticed.
I really don't know what's being aimed for here, but all I know is that I need to find this "blonde woman" who seems to be connected to it. I'm concerned that someone involved is also armed, as when I acquired the first belt I came across, it was shot and destroyed right out of my hand. So someone maybe keeping tabs on things.

Ah, yeah, they hold tournaments all over the world every year! And most countries have their own Pro-Duelist matches within their own countries, like we do here. I guess think of it like sports, such as football or something and the tournaments they hold for that both locally and internationally around the world.

Either there is a trend you are not seeing, or the person providing does not have specific intentions for those using it.

No attempt was made when I got the cartridge from the second person though, but I pocketed it straight away to keep it out of sight, so their only option to get it and/or destroy it would of been to shoot AT me directly and thankfully they were either not there, or just not stupid enough to try.
I hate people shooting at me as it is anyway.

I see... It is a shame, had it not been completely destroyed, I might have been able to restore it for a bit, but I can only do that if all pieces had been recovered. If it was that damaged, it would have been impossible, most likely.

You're right. I guess it could of been some kind of advanced weapon they used.

... Well, thankfully, you did not have to check if you would have been able to defend against a weapon like that. Most likely, they are fully aware of your unique properties.

Or... Maybe they are someone you would have recognized, if they were seen? There are a lot of guesses as to this situation.
