Word has gotten to me about how you've been acting lately and I'm concerned.
It seems that you feel you can't trust us and with how you've been acting, it makes me feel the same way about you. The Foundation doesn't work on secrets, Shinoko. You were, what I thought, was a trusted member of my team I could rely on, but I'm not sure what to think any more.

I didn't want to do this but... effective from today, you are suspended from your position here until things are sorted out and I feel I can trust you again, or until you let me know what is going on.

I'm not angry at you, disappointed, but not angry and the Foundations doors ARE still open to you if you wish to talk to me privately about what's going on.

I will listen to you and I will help you.

I get the feeling I may know what the answer will be to this, but I promised I'd ask so...

...that young girl, Slate, was asking me a lot of questions the other day about people suddenly changing genders and if there are ways to change back. I... think something happened to her.
I told her I knew someone who might be able to help and I think that only person is you.

I'm still keeping out of Shian's side of things, just so you know. The girl just asked and it seems like an important issue.

My company sells such products but we don't sell to anyone who isn't legally the equivalent of a 20 year old human in accordance with Japanese laws of such objects, etc. etc. etc.

I didn't realize it was done through products.

Her mother was the one really asking, though the issue I think is with the girl possibly. I can't be sure. If you need products for it, could the mother get it for her daughter, if that's the case? Or is it something that can't be used on a child?

They can be used on anyone, but I think it's inappropriate for it to be used on anyone younger than a high school student, as that's around the age you should be able to do it as a cognitive choice and not have it be mentally traumatizing.

I can loan one out in this case, if it's of that much distress or something happened.

But if the kid was born one gender and the parent is using it to push cultural norms onto the child, then I'll refuse.

That makes sense.

I don't get the feeling anything is being pushed on her, she seems just as curious. I think something happened.

I'd like to give them the option, if that is the case.

Would you be okay with me collecting the product from you. Then I could talk to the girl and her mother and only hand it over if I think the situation is okay for it?
Or would you prefer talking to them directly yourself?

I don't know what you want me to say.

Well, I'd want you to just talk to me and tell me what's going on.
But I get the feeling you have absolutely no intention of doing that.

I'm doing what I feel I have to do considering all circumstances.

I just wish you'd at least tell me what's going on. I'm worried about what you are potentially getting yourself into, not just as my employee, but as my friend.

But if that's the way you see it, there isn't much I can do.

I'm trying to keep you out of the way of 1 to 4 messes I probably ended up causing.

So this is something you're doing on your own because you think it's something you caused?

Look, I learned the hard way that when there's an issue, even if it was one you caused, if your friends want to support you, let them.
I'd rather help you solve an issue, even if you caused it, rather than let you struggle on your own.

And I refuse to drag any of you into my problem, my mistakes and my faults.

You deserve better and you don't deserve the headache.

Seriously, Shinoko. Being friends means you accept a person for who they are, both for their positive sides and their faults, none of us are perfect and sometimes we need others to help us out of bad spots.

Pushing us away will not achieve anything! It only leads to a path of loneliness.

And I want that path of loneliness!

I will not drag far batter people than me down into my abyss because of my mistakes and the fact I know you.

I appreciate that it seems you're trying to protect us from something, but you honestly don't deserve being seen as an enemy or a villain as much as any of us do.

But I feel that nothing I say to you is gonna get through, is it?

It's not that it won't get through, I see your options as worse.

It seems you have your mind set and there's no changing it.

Look. If whatever it is you're protecting us from happens, whether you're seen as an enemy or villain or whatever, will you talk to me and explain it then, once whatever threat is gone?
