Scenario for Asuka

*It's late in the evening and Juudai is sat on his own at his desk at the Spirit Foundation. Everyone else had long since gone home, but he decided to stay behind to work on something and lost track of the time. Asuka, it's way past the time he usually comes home, so maybe you should check to see if he's at the Foundation and what he's doing!*

Scenario for Everyone Else

*Juudai is sat on a bench in the park and appears to be looking at something in a notepad that he has with him. He seems a little troubled. Want to talk to him?*

*I haven't talked to him in a while, so may be good.

Seku spots Juudai pouring over the notepad in the park, when he walks by it. He pauses for a moment, before going over to him. Unintentionally quietly.*

... Do you need any help with that, Juudai?

[i_like_red]

*The sound of your voice seems to snap him out of his daze as he looks up at you.*

Seku...?

*It takes him a moment to process what you have said, then he looks down at the notepad again.*

Ah, well, I'm not sure if it's something you can help with. It's just... something I'm considering.

Something you're considering, hm?

You seemed to be considering it rather deeply.

*He gives a slight nod.*

It's something I have to think over, as it means a lot of changes to a lot of things and... I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

I guess you're not really sure if it's the best option though, hm?

Yeah. I mean, if I can pull it off, it'd help a lot of people in the city, but that's IF I can pull it off.

On the other hand, if I do manage to do it, I may have to make some changes of my own.

Hm... I guess a lot of it depends on what you're willing to change, right?

I mean, if you think it'll help a lot of people, that's what's important. But you shouldn't force things on yourself, too.

*He doesn't even seem to notice you're there.
On the notepad it seems to be mostly a list of companies, Leo Corporation being one of the ones among them. There's small notes about each company beside them and some seemed to be marked with a star, while others aren't.*

*huh, wonder why Yuuki'd be looking over stuff like that. let's ask him. after I move a bit more over to the side you're not sitting on so if you react to being startled, I won't be in the way.*

Doing some hard work there, huh?

WHAA!!

*Reacting startled is exactly what happens, as Juudai flails and almost falls off his side of the bench, but once he sees that it's Shian, he calms down and sits back upright.*

Haaa...you startled me there...

I could tell, yeah. Something bugging you, Yuuki?

Ah, well... I'm just thinking something over. It's a pretty big thing so I want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing and that I'm going about it the right way.

::Checks in, coming in with a bag of hot food steaming.::

Is everything alright?

*Juudai looks up as she enters*

Asuka...?

*He looks over to his laptop which is beside him to check the time on it, then sighs when he realizes how late it actually is.*

Argh, sorry. I didn't realize it was this late. Guess I got caught up with what I was doing.

::Holds up the bag.::

*He smiles at her.*

I think I'll take up that offer!

*He moves some of the stuff cluttering his desk before motioning to Asuka that she can sit on the seat opposite him. They might as well just eat here.*

::Walks up and places two hot medium-small bowls and a container on the desk.::

::Smiles a bit playfully.::

*Juudai chuckles a bit.*

Okay, okay.

It's something I needed to talk to you about anyway.

*He pauses before picking up a notepad that was on the desk beside him and showing it to her. It appears to be a list of companies with a small description of them. Some appear to be starred, where others are not.*

It's a list of companies that I'm thinking of contacting... to see... well, to see if I can get interest and funding for a new project I'm considering for the Foundation.

You look like you got a million thoughts going haywire there, Yuuki.

[Hey, have a cop in plainclothes detective getup, Juudai. He's lookin at you quizzically as he leans on the side of the bench.]

*Juudai looks up at him surprised, seems you snapped him out of a daze.*

Ah... yeah. I'm trying to work something out.

[He kind of idly glances at the papers out of curiosity.]

*On the paper is a list of various companies.*

Well, I guess since the Spirit Foundation and Special Investigations work together, it's something you'd need to know about.

I recently found out that the Arcadia Movement hit bad times and is on the verge of closing, so I'm thinking of merging the Spirit Foundation with what remains of the Arcadia Movement and taking on the responsibility of helping people, not just with psychic abilities, but other kinds of powers and abilities too.

But I'd need a few more companies willing to fund it. We already have funds from I2 and Kaiba Corp, which was fine for the foundation itself, but we'd need at least one or two more companies on top of those to fund it if I expand it beyond what it does now.

[He hrms a bit at that, his lips tight as Juudai explains.]

I see... it's that bad, huh.

Well, I did get some startup funds for my little side job a while back. We'd mostly deal with machines and equipment, but of course, you have free reign to call in anything you think I can help with. Maybe I can help offset some cost with some labor.

[He does hand you a neat simple little business card for 'Orion Robotics'. Basically specializing in electronics and mechanical equipment.]

Beyond that, I could probably meet with the top brass and try and send some of SpecInv's current funds your way, if worse comes to worse. They're pretty stubborn, though.

I'd also recommend talking to Noriko or Shiroko, Shiroko's got a good chunk of money to throw around if you need startup funds, and Black Velvet is getting around as far as Noriko's business-side of things. Granted, that comes with its own territory...

Huh, if you deal with machines and equipment, that might be handy if I do take on what's left of the Arcadia Movement. They have a few machines and testing equipment that help test people for powers, like, looking for unusual spikes in duel energy, things like that. I don't know much about that stuff really, but if you do, that'd really help.

You're not the first one to recommend Noriko to me, so I'll get in contact with her and see if she's able to help.
