Event Post 41 - Nightmare

*All around him, there was nothing but darkness, Juudai couldn't see a thing, so he was wondering about blindly.

"Hey! Is anyone here!?" he yelled out loud. For a while the only response was his own voice echoing back at him. Then... he heard it, someone... a familiar voice calling out to him.

"Juudai? Juudai! Help!"

As he ran towards the voice, more voices joined in.

"Help Aniki!"
"Juudai! Help us!!"

He soon found those who the voices belonged to...
...his friends, who were all being dragged into the darkness by some unknown force.
he ran towards them, but every time he reached one of his friends, he was too late. Asuka, Manjoume, Shou, Kenzan, Johan, Isabel... all of his friends... every last one of them disappeared into the dark around him.

"W-Who's there!? Give them back!!"

A sudden wind picked up briefly as a shadow began swirling around in front of Juudai, eventually taking a vague form before him. As it did, juudai could make out the ghostly images of his friends faces within the shadow, they began trying to reach out to him, trying to call to him.
Gritting his teeth, a duel disk suddenly appeared on Juudai's arm. he activated it and raised it before him, but before he could even draw any cards, the shadow summoned two obscure monsters which fired attacks quickly at Juudai, both hitting him and sending him flying across the floor.

"Juudai! Help us please!"
"Aniki!!"
"You idiot! What are you doing!?"
"We'll all die because of you!"

Hearing his friends desperate pleas for help, or their harsh panicked words hurt Juudai so much. Gradually he managed to struggle to a sitting position, looking back at the shadowy figure.

"Just let them go! Please! Do whatever you want with me, JUST LET THEM GO!!"

The shadow seemed to smirk at Juudai, then... there was noting but silence. His friends were no longer calling to him.

"No..."

Suddenly, the area beneath the shadow began to turn blood red in colour, which quickly stained the entire floor. Juudai didn't dare look at it long... he knew what it meant...
Then, above him, there was a flash of lightening, making Juudai look up. His eyes widened as another flash of lightening revealed a horrific sight to him...
...his friends... all dead... they were stuck to vines that were towering high above him, the large thorns sticking through their bodies.

In a panic, Juudai stumbled and tried to run away from this sight, but as he did, the shadow began swirling again and flew straight at him, turning into a strange black liquid substance that began trying to grab at him. Juudai tired to fight it back with all he had, but the more he struggled and fought back, the more he seemed to get caught up in it. It was determined to not let him go and consume him completely.

"Stop! Let me go! Stop it! JUST BRING THEM BACK PLEASE! STOP!!"

The substance was swallowing him, he couldn't get out, no matter how much he thrashed and shouted and yelled in his distraught state, he couldn't escape...
...it was hopeless...*

((OOC: The shadow is pretty much a manifestation of all Juudai's current troubles, the stress, worry and frustration ect. So if your character goes to help him and gets caught up in this "Shadow Goo" too, they'll be able to sense Juudai's despair from it. If it swallows your character, they'll simply wake up))

*Manjoume looked around. He didn't know why he was here, or what was going on. He had seen the figures impaled on thorns, but didn't particularly care. There was something more important right now.

He didn't hesitate for an instant. He just dove in to the goo after Juudai, and grabbed him by the arm.*

*Juudai is taken by surprise by his arm being grabbed and looked up to see Manjoume stood there.
He wasn't sure how he was alive, but he really wasn't going to question that right now*

Manjoume! Run! Run or it'll get you again! JUST RUN!!

*Goo is trying to swallow Manjoume now too :<

*Manjoume just twitched. Run? Him?

The goo was trying to suck him in, as well. Manjoume could feel Juudai's crushing despair. A miserable feeling, certainly, but... There was one little thing. He was Manjoume Thunder.

And he punched Juudai right across the face.*

Run?! You think that will get me?

*He points up.*

Whatever is up there on those thorns is not me! Get the crap out of your eyes and take a better look! I won't run, and I won't leave you in this stupid shit either!

*He then started to pull with all his might, to drag Juudai out of it.*

*Ow! Juudai is punched across the face*

Manjoume...

*The figures on the thorns seemed so real yet... Manjoume was here trying to help him. So he again picks up his fight against the goo, trying desperately to get out of it, with Manjoume's help, but the goo wasn't going to give up easily as it swirls and continues to keep grabbing hold of them*

*Manjoume was being pulled in by the goo. He could feel the despair crushing him. He had been trying to fight off the despair with anger, but the more he fought, the less it worked. It wasn't working, he needed something else to help. He growled under his breath. He was, unfortunately, out of ideas... He needed Juudai's help, but Juudai couldn't help while he was acting like this. There was only one way to convince him of his reality, he guessed.*

I'm not getting dragged down here, and you aren't either. Like you realized, I'm the real...

*He points a single finger upwards.*

Ichi!

*Then a second finger.*

Juu!

*The third.*

Hyaku!

*A fourth.*

Sen!

*Then he curls it into a fist, which he raises to the sky.*

MANJOUME THUNDER!!

*With that, a tremendous thunderclap, and lightning strikes the vines.*

Isabel's foot kicks into the goo, either attempting to kick it off, or kick Juudai out. She has no idea how she got here, or where she is, but she knows her brother's in trouble and that's all that matters to her.

I-Isabel!?!

*The goo just got hold of your foot there Isabel. Juudai isn't sure how Isabel got there, but that isn't important right now*

Isabel! Get free and run! RUN! It'll swallow you too!

*With that Juudai grabs her foot with the only free arm he currently has and tries to get her un-stuck from the goo, stopping fighting it back from himself, just to help her escape*

"ARGHFUCK!" Isabel tries to pull her leg out of the goo, as Juudai's leg grabs it. She looks over at him.

"H-hey, JUUDAI-NII!" She smacks his arm away from her leg, grabs it, and pulls as hard as she can, ignoring her leg.

*The goo is starting to wrap around you too, Isabel*

"NRGH!" She focuses on getting herself out. "SHUT UP, YOU IDIOT! I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE!" She grunts and keeps trying to pull herself out. "C'MON, just...nrgh! Just...hold on a sec!"

*Oh god Juudai a monster is forcefully dragging you out of the goo maybe they're going to eat you an-

oh, wait. It's just Shikou. They're still dragging you out, though, as much as they can.*

*ARGH OH GOD WHAT--- wait, Juudai looks up at who's trying to drag him out and is surprised to see Shikou there*

S-Shikou!?

*The goo is strong and tired to keep hold of Juudai as much as it can, deciding to go for Shikou too as it starts to gradually wrap around him. But it's have a lot more trouble with Shikou than it did with Manjoume, because Shikou is strong! But the goo refuses to back down!*

*The goo might be sorry about that, because all that does is anger him. Feeling all of that despair... He'd rather get them both away from it, as fast as possible.

Thus why he's ripping into the goo with his hands, trying to make a severing point, and trying to drag out Juudai after it possibly recedes. Because who likes getting claws ripped into them, even when you're just goo.*

Just keep trying to get away from it! I don't think cutting it is going to exactly keep it down, for long.

* The goo, indeed, starts to back off as Shikou rips into it with his claw-like hands. Seeing the chance and the effort Shikou is putting into getting him out, Juudai continues to fight his way from it with Shikou's help*

*Oh good, so it does help. Once the goo has backed off enough, he'll end up pulling again...

And chances are, Juudai will finally get mostly free, if not entirely, temporarily. Momentum might cause them to both sorta tumble back onto the ground, though. High strength + height differences = shaky balance. He's going to try to regain his bearings though, and look at Juudai, checking if it's all let go of him, mostly ignoring himself.*

A... Are you alright?!

*That's a long-fingered hand reaching in and tugging Juudai to pull him out, oh hey, it's Mon. What's he doing here?*

*Juudai seems surprised to see Mon, but that's soon replaced back with panicking like mad*

Mon! Just run! This thing is strong, it'll get you too, just RUN!

*Still tugging you out. Possibly trying to punch the goo away.*

Oi, if I'm running, I'm bringing you with me, Juudai! You're not getting downed by this thing, if my name isn't Mon Millennia.

*The goo is simply ignoring your punches as it starts trying to engulf you too. Juudai seems stuck fast*

It's too late for me! It's too late for them! You have the chance to get away, so RUN!

*Still trying to pull Juudai out as the goo starts to engulf him. Tugging with all his might as he tries to pull away. The fist that was punching might crackle with a little bit of energy to get the goo to back off.*

OI! Didn't you hear me!? I said I'm not leaving without you! I don't care what the hell this thing is or how strong it is, I'm getting you out of here already, and that's final!

*Kouyou looks around, confused at the scenery. It takes him a minute to spot the familiar red. Once he does, though, he immediately charges to help.*

KOUYOU-SAN!

*Juudai is struggling with the goo, fighting it, but it's no good, it seems to be a losing battle on his own and he's becoming more and more panicked as he struggles*

Kouyou-san! Stay away! Run! Or it'll get you to! RUUN!!

*A flash of lightning overhead shows the gruesome sight on the vines above where Juudai is to Kouyou. Juudai looks up, but winces at the sight and looks back down... they're still there...*

*He reaches in, and grabs for Juudai, trying to avoid touching the goo stuff himself.*

*Juudai reaches out with his arms and grabs hold of Kouyou the best he can, he knows Kouyou wouldn't leave without him. He only hopes that the goo won't trap the both of them, right now it seemed more focused on him than Kouyou*

*Kouyou grabs, and pulls as hard as he can. He notices it's focusing on Juudai more than him, but figures he can use that focus to free Juudai.*
